Laundry Soap

So if I can't afford laundry detergent I don't want to stink, so I bought 3 CHEAP ingredients so I could make my own.
Here they are:

Yep, Washing soda, Borax and a bar of Zote. Here is the recipe:

Powdered Laundry Detergent

2 cups Zote soap bar (finely grated)
1 cup Washing Soda
1 cup Borax
Mix well and store in an airtight plastic container.
Use 2 tablespoons per full load.

Dishwasher soap

Powder Recipe
1 cup Baking Soda
1 cup Borax
For the above two recipes:
Mix thoroughly and store in a plastic container, use approximately 2 TBS per load.
Use vinegar in the rinse compartment as a rinse agent to help prevent residue

So easy hu?? Ok so I just bought the stuff, I haven't made up the detergent yet, I just want it on hand so when the time comes I will be ready!!

  1. Or you could just have a year supply of laundry soap like we do :) No I think that other than just food other important things to have a year or at least a six month supply of would be soaps, shampoo, tooth paste or for me contact solution stuff. Because you never know when they might run out or maybe you come across tough times and you can't afford it.
